In September 2010, the new administrative building of UEFA, the Clairière building, designed by architects BassiCarella from Geneva, was awarded the prestigious "Distinction romande d'architecture".
Botta Management Group AG acted as overall project manager for the construction of this facility in Nyon for the European football body. The project cost a total of CHF 70 million. At present, on the grounds of Bois-Bougy, another building is under construction with Botta Management ensuring the general project management, working again with architects BassiCarella.
The new circular service centre is of generous, airy design which makes clever use of ecologically sustainable energy systems. The mandate, which included a feasibility study, construction management, completion and handover, also covered an assessment of operational procedures, architectural options and new corporate structures to ensure that the new facility fully met and reflected UEFA’s needs.
