The Estádio Mineirão in Belo Horizonte was inaugurated on 21 December 2012 and has a total capacity of 66,805 seats. The stadium owner is the State Government of Minas Gerais.

 

For the 2014 FIFA World Cup it was the scene of four group matches, one match of the round of last 16 and a semi-final. In addition, it hosted a number of matches of the football tournament of the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.
