The Moses Mabhida Stadium was completed in 2009, and all eyes are drawn to the giant steel arch which spans the roof at a height of over 100 metres.

 

The arch symbolises the unity of the country. It has a funicular to a viewing platform at the top from which the visitor can enjoy breathtaking panoramas of the 70,000 capacity stadium and its surroundings. (Picture imago sportfotodienst)
